Have Chi Will Travel

My Unusual Mornings


My mornings are quite unusual. I get up at five- thirty and go to the bathroom. I wash my hands and face. Next, I practice yoga in my living room. Yoga is an ancient Indian exercise. It emphasizes stretching. I practice the yoga exercises for about forty-five minutes. Then I go out to my backyard and practice taichi for a half hour. Taichi is an ancient Chinese exercise. I finish my exercise routine by sitting on the ground and practicing breathing exercises and meditation. When I finish my exercises and meditation, I return to the bathroom and take a shower. After I take a shower, I get dressed and comb my hair. Next, I go to the kitchen and prepare my breakfast. I usually eat a light and healthy breakfast. I usually have oatmeal, fruit, and soy milk for breakfast. I also take vitamin and herbal supplements. After I eat breakfast, I return to the bathroom, for the third time, and floss and brush my teeth. Finally, I gather my books and papers, say a prayer, and go to work. Although my morning routine is quite unusal and demanding , I love my lifestyle and would not change it for a million dollars.
